tcds - Childminding Service for 0 - 17 year old's
Sample Menu

Unless parents prefer to bring their own, meals will be provided for your child, so please keep us up-to-date with dietary requirements, allergies, etc.
We will encourage healthy eating habits, taking into consideration the '5-a-day' guidelines, and limit foods/drinks with high fat, sugar and/or salt content.

Sometimes children may try to skip dinner and go straight to pudding.... We encourage them to eat healthy meals and will ask them to eat their dinner/sandwiches first. If that is unsuccessful they will get i.e. yoghurt and fruit - NOT biscuits, cake, jelly &/or ice-cream.

Light refreshments are provided during the course of the day, free of charge.
For example:
Fresh, dried or canned fruit;
Vegetable sticks;
Fruit or Cereal bar; Rice cakes;

Fresh water is always available and children are encouraged to help themselves.

JUST A NOTE ABOUT SWEETS AND CHOCOLATE!
We consider these things treats for special occasions, now and then.
We would therefore appreciate it if these were not supplied in lunch/snack boxes.

  • Children tend to ignore or refuse the healthy food available, if they know you have put 'yummies' in for them.
  • It may cause jealousy amongst other children who will feel it is unfair that one child is allowed them, whilst they are not.
  • It is simpler to have a no sweets rule - unless prior arrangement made for a special occasion, when everyone will share (and after they have eaten their meal)

! ABSOLUTELY NO CHEWING GUM or BUBBLE GUM ALLOWED !
