 Sample Timetable for Childminding Day

I complete Health and Safety checks on all childminding areas to be used and check there are adequate toys set up for freeplay for children, before they arrive.

Greet parents and children -> record any relevant information provided by parents -> Breakfast ->Freeplay.

8:30 - 9:15 am

Get all children ready for and take on school run. Practice road safety.

Visit Local Park on way home (weather permitting).

Child led activities.

On Wednesdays, we attend activity sessions with other childminders, in the morning

Errands/shopping etc. Snack and drink.

Get everyone settled in an activity of their choice.

(Games/Crafts/T.V./Computer/Outdoor play equipment)

Individually help children with reading/homework etc.

(Some children have dinner)

Freeplay -> Get children ready to go home -> Greet parents and exchange information -> Hand over children to their parents.

Please note: this is just a guideline, as school/Nursery pickup and drop off times can vary, depending on the children in our care each day and which School/Nursery they attend.

During the holidays especially, when there may be different children here, we also organise various extra outdoor activities and outings - some are free and some may incur additional costs - you will be advised about these. Thank you.
